Professional judgement shows up in the work: the evidence someone trusts, the questions they ask and the trade-offs they can explain. Meritia brings that process into your candidate assessment.

How they investigate

Give candidates a realistic brief and supporting material. Review which evidence they use and what they choose to question.

Talk through your role

What is Meritia?

Meritia is a candidate assessment platform for professional hiring. It uses realistic work simulations to give hiring managers and talent teams a view of how candidates investigate evidence, work with AI and explain a decision. Your assessors review the work and retain the hiring decision.

What is a work simulation in hiring?

A work simulation asks a candidate to tackle a realistic challenge related to the role. In Meritia, candidates receive a brief and supporting material, investigate the evidence and produce written work explaining their recommendation. The assessment gives your panel concrete work to discuss alongside the rest of your recruitment process.

Which professional roles can we discuss?

Start with a role where interpreting information, weighing trade-offs and explaining decisions matters. Potential scenarios could draw on operations, project delivery, commercial work, customer teams, product or business analysis, as well as finance and legal work. These are illustrative applications: the role, scenario and assessment criteria are agreed when scoping your pilot.

How is AI used in the assessment?

Candidates work with AI under explicit assessment rules. Assessors can review their AI conversations alongside their written work to understand the questions they ask, the responses they challenge and the decisions they defend. AI use is part of the evidence your people review.

Does Meritia make the hiring decision?

No. Your assessors review candidate work against agreed criteria, and your team makes the hiring decision. Meritia supports the work-assessment stage alongside your existing recruitment process.

How does a paid pilot work?

A pilot starts with one agreed role and candidate cohort. We scope the scenario, timetable, assessor workload and review criteria with you before candidates take part. Software delivery and bespoke scenario design are quoted separately; expert marking, if needed, is scoped separately too.
