Demonstration enquiries
Meritia is the assessment product developed by Matt Valente. When you submit the form on the demo page, the website sends your name, reply email, organisation, role and any optional details to Meritia’s enquiry inbox at mattvalente85@gmail.com.
The website uses Amazon Web Services in Ireland to process the request and Amazon Simple Email Service to send the enquiry. The receiving inbox is provided by Gmail. Your brief is not added to the candidate assessment database. Enquiry correspondence is used to respond and discuss the proposed engagement; submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
A link may include campaign labels such as “LinkedIn” or “sample”. These labels accompany your enquiry so we can understand which content helped you find Meritia. The form does not collect your browsing history or a full referring URL.
If you use the email fallback, your browser passes a draft to your email application for you to review and send. Please leave out candidate records, sensitive personal information and confidential assessment material.
Optional LinkedIn advertising measurement
If you accept advertising cookies, Meritia loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag on its home and sample pages. The tag may also observe page and button actions on these static public pages. We use it to measure advertising visits and successful demo enquiries, understand aggregate professional audiences and support advertising audiences. The tag is not loaded on the demo enquiry form, this privacy page, sign-in pages, candidate assessments or assessor and administration screens.
The tag can send LinkedIn the public page URL, referring URL, IP address, browser and device information, timestamps and cookie identifiers. LinkedIn may associate a visit with your LinkedIn account and use information under its own privacy policy. On the demo page, a separate image request sends only fixed advertising-account and conversion identifiers when the enquiry service confirms a successful submission, provided you have accepted advertising cookies. This request omits the referring URL. LinkedIn can still receive the network and browser information needed to serve that image and any cookies your browser permits. Meritia does not send your form fields, email address, enquiry reference, candidate work or assessment marks to LinkedIn. Image-based measurement is less accurate than the full tag, so reports will not capture every enquiry.
Advertising cookies and browser storage may include LinkedIn first-party and third-party identifiers, including li_fat_id for ad-click attribution. These are separate from our preference record. LinkedIn determines its cookies’ individual lifetimes and processing; see its current cookie table and privacy policy, including international data transfers and your choices.
We ask before loading the tag. Accepting or rejecting is optional and does not affect access to Meritia or submitting an enquiry. We store your advertising choice and its date in your browser’s local storage for up to 180 days, then ask again. This preference record is used only to remember your choice. You can change or withdraw consent using Advertising cookies in the footer. Withdrawal reloads the page to stop the tag and removes known LinkedIn first-party cookies and browser identifiers accessible to this site. It does not undo information already sent or remove cookies stored on LinkedIn’s own domains; use LinkedIn’s privacy controls or your browser settings for those.
Website and sign-in information
Normal website requests can be processed by the hosting service, including technical information such as an IP address. The enquiry service uses signed form tokens, submission counters and a hashed network identifier to limit repeated requests. These records do not contain your enquiry text, are set to expire within 48 hours of their last use and are then removed automatically by the storage service; removal can take additional time.
The video on the sample page is served directly by this website. If you follow a link to YouTube or LinkedIn, that service handles your visit under its own privacy terms. The customer sign-in service uses cookies to support authentication and protect the sign-in flow.
Candidate assessment information
Candidate assessments have a separate purpose and require an engagement-specific privacy notice. The recruiting organisation should provide the identity of the organisation responsible for the data, what is recorded, who can access it, the retention period, any model providers involved and a contact for questions or requests.
If you are a candidate, contact the recruiting organisation named in your invitation about your assessment or personal data. This website enquiry notice does not replace the notice for your recruitment exercise.
